Our Food Philosophy:
At Soam, we know that not only must our diets change according to the seasons but that we must also take a moment to appreciate the produce that the changing seasons bring us. So, be it the most awaited winter specialties of Oondhiya and Ponkh, which we source fresh every day from southern Gujarat, to the various mango dishes in the summer for which our mangoes arrive from the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, at least 30 per cent of our menu changes every few months, bringing our patrons the joy of festivals and celebration.
Our standard menu, something our older patrons almost know by heart now, has something for everyone—a cutting chai and chaat for an evening snack, low calorie or gluten-free foods for those on special diets, a crisp dosa for the young ones—and a Gola for everyone!
Thrice a week and for all the key fasting days in the Hindu calendar, we also offer “Faraali” foods that adhere to the rules of fasting.
We are also proud to say that our food proves to be a great introduction to Indian food for tourists who have never sampled the fare before—our welcoming servers will recommend dishes you might like and serve you with the warmth and hospitality of home—after all, Soam is home!
About Soam at Home:
Soam at Home was born in the lockdown of 2020, when Soam patrons admitted to missing some of the classics we served at the restaurant, and we thought we would make them available for home use. What started as a retailing of our house special pickles, chutneys, Bhel mix and Pani Puris, is now a full-fledged store of snacks and condiments, from low calorie and baked savouries and confectionery to traditional mithai, mukhwas (mouth fresheners), chikki, travel snacks, seasonal snacks, and more!
